Teen website
As part of the Goals and Objectives Study Session for Fiscal Year 2005-2006, the Youth Advisory
Committee and the City Council identified a high priority goal to establish a new website for Dublin
teens. The purpose of the website is to promote and support a high quality of life for teens in Dublin, and
to improve communication with local teens regarding available programs, events, classes and services.
March 17, 2006 the teen website www.dubtownteens.com was launched.
The goal of the website vwww.dubtownteens.com is to provide a means for "getting the word out" to teens
about the many things to do in Dublin, from recreational and entertainment activities to jobs and volunteer
opportunities. The teen website will provide information on teen issues, events, job postings, feature
2 of 3
stories, and any other information the Youth Advisory Committee believes important to communicate to
the youth of Dublin.
June 2007 to August 2007 teen website report provides monthly statistics for the website on the number
of sessions (visitors) hits, and pages requested. The report is provided by MATCHPOINT Graphics to
Department Staff on a quarterly basis. The number of visitors the website had during the months of June
through August was 3,784. The number of hits was 41,666. The nwnber of hits is calculated by every
time the user clicks their mouse when using the website.
