HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 03-13 Civic Ctr Purch Furniture RESOLUTION NO. 3 — 13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN * * * * * * * * * AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM ONE WORKPLACE PURSUANT TO THE U.S. COMMUNITIES GOVERNMENT PURCHASING AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Dublin requires the purchase of office furniture; and WHEREAS, One Workplace has a valid pricing agreement publicly bid and administered by US Communities Government Purchasing Alliance; and WHEREAS, the City's Purchasing Ordinance (Chapter 2.36 of the Dublin Municipal Code) does not apply to public projects that are subject to the Public Contract Code; and WHEREAS, the Public Contract Code allows public agencies to rely upon a competitive bid process administered by another public agency; and WHEREAS, the US Communities agreement meets the requirement for public bids; and WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the furniture pursuant to the US Communities contract is $77,982.47. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Dublin that the City Manager is authorized to procure furniture for the Civic Center, under a purchasing agreement publicly bid by US Communities Government Purchasing Alliance at a purchase cost of $77,982.47.
