A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM ONE
WORKPLACE PURSUANT TO THE U.S. COMMUNITIES GOVERNMENT PURCHASING
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin requires the purchase of office furniture; and
WHEREAS, One Workplace has a valid pricing agreement publicly bid and administered
by US Communities Government Purchasing Alliance; and
WHEREAS, the City's Purchasing Ordinance (Chapter 2.36 of the Dublin Municipal
Code) does not apply to public projects that are subject to the Public Contract Code; and
WHEREAS, the Public Contract Code allows public agencies to rely upon a competitive
bid process administered by another public agency; and
WHEREAS, the US Communities agreement meets the requirement for public bids; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the furniture pursuant to the US Communities contract
is $77,982.47.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Dublin that the
City Manager is authorized to procure furniture for the Civic Center, under a purchasing
agreement publicly bid by US Communities Government Purchasing Alliance at a purchase cost
of $77,982.47.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of January, 2013, by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Biddle, Haubert, and Mayor Sbranti
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Had
ABSTAIN: None Brij'
