RESOLUTION NO. 8636 - At meeting held February 19, 1968

WHEREAS Qualified Investments, Inc., *(} has filed with the Alameda
County Planning Commission an application for a use permit to continue the use of a public
elementary school on private property in a 11C-1" (Retail Bisiness) District, located on
the south side of Amador Valley Boulevard, opposite the intersection with Starward Drive
and Donohue Drive, Dublin Area, Pleasanton Township, as shown on a plot plan on file with
this Commission; and
WHEREAS this Commission did hold a public hearing on said application at the hour
of 1:30 p.m. on the 19th day of February, 1968, in the County of Alameda Public Works
Building, 399 Elmhurst Street, Hayward, California; and
WHEREAS it satisfactorily appears from affidavits on file that newspaper notice
of said public hearing was given in all respects as required by law; and
WHEREAS this Commission does find that the use will not be detrimental to persons
or property in the neighborhood or to the public welfare, in that:
The intent of 'the school facility is to serve the continuing needs of a school
district with a rapidly expanding population. It is not designed to serve one
particular neighborhood, but is adaptable to prcvide temporary elementary school
facilities pending the completion of permanent schools in other neighborhoods in
the Murray School District: Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that this Commission does hereby approve said application, as shown
on a plot plan labelled "Exhibit A" on file with this Commission, a copy of which shall be
forwarded to the County Building Official, subject to the following condition:
Said use permit shall terminate and end on February 19, 1970, during which
time it shall be subject to revocation for cause: by the Planning Commission
after seven (7) days notice and a hearing by said Commission.

AYES: Commissioner DeBernardi, Enos, Kuder, Spencer, Vau<lhns, and Chairman Gardella.
NOES: None.

J NES D. GLENN AND CHARLES R. GLASTON

Subject application is for addition of new business, for relocation of
buildings, and for conducting outdoor sales located at 6391 Dublin Boulevard,
Dublin Ai ea.
Should this application receive favorable consideration by the Commission,
it is suggested that the following recommendations be considered in eaJblishing
the conditions of the permit:
1. Slope the site to the future fronting street at a minimum slope of
0.3 J. These grades shall not conflict with the curb grades approved
by the stead Division or the Division of Highways.
2. The minimums tlniahed floor elevation for all dwelling areas shall
be no less than 6' above the highest adjacent ground.

WHEREAS James D. Glenn & Charles R. Ghaston, (C-1882) have filed with the
Alameda County Planning Commission an application for a Conditional Use Permit to
conduct an outdoor aggregate sales and ready-mix concrete operation in an M-1 (Light
Industrial) District, located at 6391 Dublin Boulevard, north side, 150' east of the
intersection with Dougherty Road, Dublin, Pleasanton Township, as shown on a map on
file with this Commission; and
WHEREAS this Commission did hold a public hearing on said application at the
hour of 1:30 p.m. on the 27th day of May, 1968, in the County of Alameda Public Works
Building, 399 Elmhurst Street, Hayward, California; and
WHEREAS it satisfactorily appears from affdavits on file that newspaper
notice of said public hearing was given in all respects as required by law; and
WHEREAS this Commission does find that:
(a) The use is required by the public need, in that:
Applicant proposes to supply local home owners with concrete and
aggregate products which would be used for construction of patios and
other improvements.
(b) The use will be properly related to other land uses and transportation
and service facilities in the vicinity, in that:
Access will eventually be provided to the frontage road adjacent to
the new overpass. The adjoining properties remain vacant and new
industrial uses are anticipated.
(c) The use will not, if permitted, under all the circumstances and conditions
of this particular case, materially affect adversely the health or safety
of persons residing or working in the vicinity, or be materially detrimental
to the public welfare or injurious to property or improvements in the
neighborhood, in that:
The mixing and storage operation would be screened (as required by
ordinance) so as to limit external effects of the use.
(d) The use will not be contrary to the specific intent clauses or performance
standards established for the District in which it is to be located, in that:
The intent clause provides for light industrial uses which may exist
without detriment to the adjoining properties: Now Therefore

BE IT RESOLVED that this Commission does hereby approve said application as
shown on a plot plan labelled "Exhibit A" on file with this Commission, a copy of which
shall be forwarded to the County Building Official, subject to the following conditions:

These grades shall not conflict with the curb grades approved by the
Road Division or the Division of Highways.
(2) The minimum finished floor elevation for all dwelling areas shall be
no less than 6" above the highest adjacent ground.
( ) Said Conditional Use Permit shall become null and void if a building
permit is not obtained by May 27, 1969.
Said Conditional Use Permit shall be subject to revocation for cause by the Planning
Commission after seven (7) days notice and a hearing by said Commission.
