3. PUBLIC COMMENT
At this time, the public is permitted to address the Youth Advisory Committee on non-
agendized items. Please step to the podium and clearly state your name for the record.
COMMENTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED THREE (3) MINUTES. In accordance with State Law, no
action or discussion may take place on any item not appearing on the posted agenda. The
Committee may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request Staff to
report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Any member of the public may
contact the Recording Secretary’s Office related to the proper procedure to place an item
on a future Youth Advisory Committee agenda. The exceptions under which the Committee
MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in
Government Code Section 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).
4. CONSENT CALENDAR
Consent Calendar items are typically non-controversial in nature and are considered for
approval by the Youth Advisory Committee with one single action. Members of the
audience, Staff or the Youth Advisory Committee who would like an item removed from the
Consent Calendar for purposes of public input may request the Chair to remove the item.

The Youth Advisory Committee will receive a report summarizing activities and
accomplishments from the 2025-26 service term and provide feedback to inform
future Committees.

Receive the report and provide feedback on the 2025-26 service term for future Youth
Advisory Committees.

Brief information only reports from Committee Members and/or Staff, including

8. ADJOURNMENT
This AGENDA is posted in accordance with Government Code Section 54954.2(a) If requested, pursuant to Government Code Section 54953.2, this agenda shall be

A Special Meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee was held on Wednesday, April 15,
2026, at the Shannon Community Center, 11600 Shannon Ave, Dublin, CA 94568. The
meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairperson Neel KarurParekh.

Robert Lopez, Lead Prevention Specialist with Horizon Treatment Services, addressed
the committee regarding outpatient substance abuse treatment for teens.

2026 Dublin Benefit Concert Post-Event Discussion

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Youth Advisory Committee will receive a report on the 2026 Dublin Benefit Concert and
provide feedback on the event.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Receive the report and provide feedback on the 2026 Dublin Benefit Concert.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
DESCRIPTION:
The 2026 Dublin Benefit Concert was held on April 23, 2026, in conjunction with the Dublin
Farmers’ Market at the Emerald Glen Park Amphitheater. The event featured eleven youth
performers and groups, representing a diverse range of talents, including vocal, instrumental,
and cultural dance performances. Performers included Akshada Irkulla, Tanaya Shah, Svara
Wani, and Isabella Giacomini (vocalists/theater); Little Rockers (band), Sairaj Drums (solo
drums), Maurya Patel and Caleb Myatt (pianists), Dublin High School Filipino Club (Tinikling
dance), Siddhi Dance Academy (Bharatanatyam dance), and Shining Stars (Bollywood dance).
The concert was planned and implemented by the 2026 Dublin Benefit Concert Ad Hoc
Committee as an annual fundraising event, with proceeds benefitting the Dublin Youth
Assistance Fee Program.
The Youth Advisory Committee will discuss the event and provide feedback to help inform
future planning efforts. Discussion topics may include event date and time, performer

participation, event logistics, marketing and outreach, donation strategies, sponsorship
opportunities, and overall event outcomes.
