A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
APPROVING PA 84-002, WRIGHT AIR, INC. APPEAL OF A ZONING DECISION ON A
SIGN APPLICATION AT 6305 DOUGHERTY RD.
WHEREAS, Mr. Wright filed an application to erect a freestanding
sign at 6305 Dougherty Rd.; and,
WHEREAS, the Zoning Administrator did conditionally approve said
application; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Wright appealed the Zoning Administrator's action;
and
WHEREAS, this application has been reviewed in accordance with
the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act and has been
found to be categorically exempt; and,
WHEREAS, a Staff Report was submitted recommending the appeal be
denied; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did hear and consider all said
reports, recommendations, and testimony as hereinabove set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Dublin Planning Commission
does hereby find that:
1) The sign must meet all Zoning requirements, excluding Sections 8-60.52.
2) Granting of the Appeal shall not set a precedent in allowing signs in
the future right-of-way along Dougherty Road.
3) There is a need to better identify our business community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Dublin Planning Commission
does hereby approve said appeal as shown on Exhibit "A", with the following
conditions:
1) Mr. Wright shall relocate the proposed sign, at his own expense, within
15 days after being notified by the City. The applicant shall submit a
written agreement acceptable to the City Attorney which ensures this
condition. This condition shall be binding on future property owners.
2) A bond shall be posted for removal of the sign and all improvements.
3) The sign must be a directory sign and shall include all tenants under
the specifications of Section 8-48.8.1 of the Zoning Ordinance.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of February, 1984.
