RESOLUTION NO. 85-009
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
APPROVING PA 85-003 A SITE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW FOR THE LATTER-DAY
SAINTS CHURCH TO CONSTRUCT A 1,740 SQ. FT. CLASSROOM
ADDITION AT 8203 VILLAGE PARKWAY
WHEREAS, David Rausch, representing Latter-Day Saints
Church filed an application for a Conditional Use Permit and Site
Development Review to construct a 1,740 sq. ft. classroom addition
at 8203 Village Parkway.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did hold public
hearings on said application on March 18, 1985; and
WHEREAS, proper notice of said public hearing was given
in all respects as required by law; and,
WHEREAS, this application has been reviewed in
accordance with the provisions of the California Environmental
Quality Act and has been found to be categorically exempt; and,
WHEREAS, a Staff Report was submitted recommending the
application be conditionally approved; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did hear and consider
all said reports, recommendations, and testimony as hereinabove
set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dublin Planning
Commission does hereby find that:
1. The Site Development Review is in the best interest of the
City.
2. The Site Development Review will protect the public, health,
safety and general welfare by promoting more efficient
traffic circulation and by establishing a more attractive
site.
3. The conditions imposed on the Site Development Review are
reasonable and appropriate and are needed to achieve a more
efficient site from a traffic standpoint.
4. The approval of the Site Development Review will be
consistent with the policies in the Dublin General Plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does
hereby approve said Site Development Review as shown by materials
labeled Exhibit C and subject to the following conditions:
Unless otherwise specified, all conditions shall be complied with
prior to occupancy and shall be subject to the review and approval
of the Planning Department.
1. The colors and materials of the classroom shall match the
colors and materials of the existing church.
2. Gutters and down spouts shall be provided along the new
classroom.
3. The damaged sidewalk on Village Parkway shall be repaired as
directed by the City Engineer.
4. A drainage plan for the area around the clasroom shall be
developed for the review and approval of the City Engineer.

5. Comply with the requirements of the Fire Department as
indicated in their letter dated 2/7/85.
6. Comply with the standard Site Development Review requirements
(attached).
7. A revised landscape plan shall be prepared for the review and
approval of the Planning Department. Said plan shall include
five gallon shrubs around the classroom.
7. This approval is valid until 3/18/87; if substantial
construction has not occurred by that date, this approval
shall be null and void.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of
March, 1985.
