HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Reso 85-044 PA 85-061 Sign Technology- Off site directioncal tract sign RESOLUTION NO. 85-044 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN APPROVING PA 85-061, SIGN TECHNOLOGY CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REQUEST TO RELOCATE AN OFFSITE DIRECTIONAL TRACT SIGN TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SILVERGATE DRIVE AND SAN RAMON ROAD WHEREAS, Nancy Tiege, representing Sign Technology filed an application for a Conditional Use Permit to relocate an offsite directional tract sign to the northwest corner of San Ramon Road and Silvergate Drive; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did hold public hearing on said application on August 5, 1985, and; WHEREAS, proper notice of said public hearing was given in all respects as required by law, and; WHEREAS, the request is categorically exempt in accordance with the provisions of the California Environmental ,Quality Act; and WHEREAS, a Staff Report was submitted recommending the application be conditionally approved, and; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did hear and consider all said reports, recommendations and testimony hereinabove set forth NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dublin Planning Commission does hereby find: a. The use is required by the public need to provide subdivision information to the general public. b. The use would be properly related to other land uses and transportation and service facilities in the vicinity. c. The use, if permitted under all circumstances and conditions of this particular case will not materially affect adversely the health, safety or persons residing or working in the vicinity or be materially detrimental to the public welfare or injurious to property or improvements in the area, as all applicable regulations will be met. d. The use will not be contrary to the specific intent clause or performance standards established for the district in which it is to be located. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Dublin Planning Commission does hereby approve said application as shown on Exhibit B on file with the Dublin Planning Department and subject to the following conditions: 1) The sign shall have a maximum single-faced area of 24 sq. ft. (a double-faced sign with a maximum area of 24 sq. ft. on each sign may be used) and a maximum height of 15'. 2) The tract sign shall not obstruct the visibility of motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. The precise location shall be approved by the Planning Department prior to being erected. • -1- 3) This approval shall remain in effect until 1/21/87 or until the last lot is sold, whichever occurs first and shall be revocable for cause in accordance with Section 8-90.3 of the Dublin Zoning Ordinance.
