HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Reso 87-003 PA 86-131 Valley Volvo wall mounted sign and one freestanding sign RESOLUTION NO. 87 - 003 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN APPROVING PA 86-131 VALLEY VOLVO SITE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW FOR TWO WALL MOUNTED SIGNS AND ONE FREESTANDING SIGN AT 6015 SCARLETT COURT WHEREAS, Wade McClure, representing Koenig Von Stark Investments, filed an application for a Site Development Review for two wall mounted signs and one freestanding sign at 6015 Scarlett Court; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on said application on January 5, 1987; and WHEREAS, proper notice of said public hearing was given in all respects as required by law; and WHEREAS, the request is categorically exempt in accordance with the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, a Staff Report was submitted recommending the application be conditionally approved; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission heard and considered all said reports, recommendations and testimony hereinabove set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Dublin Planning Commission does hereby find: a. The use serves the public need by providing identification of the name for a new Auto Dealership. b. The use would be properly related to other land uses and transportation and service facilities in the vicinity. c. The use will not adversely affect the health, safety of persons residing or working in the vicinity, or be materially detrimental to the public welfare, or injurious to property or improvements in the area. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE Dublin Planning Commission does hereby approve said application as shown on Exhibit "A" on file with the Dublin Planning Department and subject to the following conditions: CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: Unless stated otherwise, all Conditions of Approval shall be complied with prior to issuance of building permit or the establishment of the proposed land use activity and shall be subject to Planning Department review and approval. 1. PA 86-131 Valley Volvo Site Development Review is approved for two wall mounted signs and one freestanding sign as generally depicted on Exhibit A, and shall comply with the following restrictions: Sign A: 1. Maximum Sign Length = 40 feet 2. Maximum Letter Height = 30 inches 3. Maximum Sign Area = 100 square feet Sign B: 1. Maximum Sign Length = 6 feet 2. Maximum Sign Can Height = 3 feet 3. Maximum Sign Area = 18 square feet -1- Sign C: Setback: Front Property Line — 50 feet Height: 35 feet Sign Area: Sign Copy — 132 square feet double-faced (66 square feet single-faced) Illuminated Pole: 122 square feet double-faced (61.4 square feet single-faced) 3. Building permits for the proposed sign shall be secured and construction commenced within six (6) months after approval of this application or said approval shall be void. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of January, 1987.
