CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 2. PRESENTATIONS 2.1 Civic Duties Overview with Trevor Dilling, Tri-Valley District Field Representative The Youth Advisory Committee will receive a presentation from Trevor Dilling, Tri-Valley District Field Representative from the Office of Senator Jerry McNerney, District 5, regarding his role in state government and civic engagement opportunities for youth. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive the presentation and participate in the discussion. Staff Report 3. PUBLIC COMMENT At this time, the public is permitted to address the Youth Advisory Committee on non- agendized items. Please step to the podium and clearly state your name for the record. COMMENTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED THREE (3) MINUTES. In accordance with State Law, no action or discussion may take place on any item not appearing on the posted agenda. The Committee may respond to statements made or questions asked or may request Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Any member of the public may contact the Recording Secretary’s Office related to the proper procedure to place an item on a future Youth Advisory Committee agenda. The exceptions under which the Committee MAY discuss and/or take action on items not appearing on the agenda are contained in Government Code Section 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3). NEW BUSINESS 6.1 Spring Tri-Valley Youth Committees Roundtable Event The Youth Advisory Committee will discuss and receive an update from Committee Members who participated in the Spring Tri-Valley Youth Committees Roundtable event. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Discuss and receive updates from Committee Members who attended the Spring Tri-Valley Youth Committees Roundtable event. Staff Report 6.2 Youth Advisory Committee Annual Report Presentation The Youth Advisory Committee will receive and discuss the Annual Report Presentation for the Parks and Community Services Commission and the City Council. DESCRIPTION: The Parks & Community Services Department periodically invites elected officials and government representatives to attend Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) meetings to provide educational and leadership development opportunities for members. Following the Youth Mental Health Forum in Fall 2025, Staff extended an invitation to Trevor Dilling, Tri-Valley District Field Representative from the Office of Senator Jerry McNerney, to attend a Youth Advisory Committee meeting. Mr. Dilling will provide a brief overview of his role, discuss how state government interacts with local communities, and share information about civic engagement opportunities for youth. On a motion by Vice Chairperson Kaitlin Weiss, seconded by Committee Member Alex McComb, and by a unanimous vote, the Committee adopted the Consent Calendar . STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Review and discuss KidVenture Night. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. DESCRIPTION: The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) hosted KidVenture Night on February 21, 2026, at the Dublin Senior Center. The event provided an opportunity for Committee Members to engage with elementary-aged children in the community and create a fun, enriching experience. Participants enjoyed dinner and a variety of activities, including group games, crafts, movies, board games, and more. The event ran from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Committee Members attended and facilitate d games and activities throughout the evening. The cost was $45 per participant, and revenue generated supports future youth and teen programs. STRATEGIC PLAN INITIATIVE: None. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive and discuss updates from Committee Members. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. DESCRIPTION: The 2026 Dublin Benefit Concert Ad Hoc Committee continues to prepare for the annual benefit concert to foster youth engagement and support local programs. The concert is scheduled for April 23, 2026, and the Ad Hoc Committee is currently evaluating talent options, sponsorship opportunities, and promotional strategies to support strong community participation and outreach. DESCRIPTION: The Dublin Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) participates in the Tri-Valley Youth Committees Roundtable event with Youth Advisory Committees from Pleasanton, San Ramon, Danville, and Livermore each year. This event rotates and is held in a different city each year. The goals of the event are to encourage collaboration and networking with other youth committees, review upcoming events and programs, and discuss successes and challenges. The Spring Tri-Valley Youth Committees Roundtable was held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wave Waterpark Community Room. DESCRIPTION: Each year, the Youth Advisory Committee Members present an Annual Report highlighting the Committee’s accomplishments during their term. The Youth Advisory Committee 2025-26 term accomplishments include the following:  Awarded a total of ten youth organizations in Dublin with a Youth Mini-Grant, totaling $10,000 – MANSE Minds, KathaMunch Teens, Latinos Unidos, Emerald Environmental Club, Dublin 4 Wellness, Dublin High Diversity Ambassador Program, Youth Empowerment in Military Careers, Sensory Wall, Emerald High Basic Life Support Program, IGNITE Pathways.  Hosted the Youth Mental Health Forum at the Shannon Community Center on Thursday, November 13, 2025.  Volunteered at Splatter, Harvest Fair, Floating Pumpkin Patch, Ghosts of Dublin, St. Patrick’s Day Festival, and the Holiday Tree Lighting.  Participated in the Spring Tri-Valley Youth Committees Roundtable on Saturday, February 16 Page 2 of 2 21, 2026.  Volunteered at the Tri-Valley Teen Job Fair on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Pleasanton Senior Center.  Will volunteer at the Spring Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Heritage Park.  Will host the Dublin Benefit Concert on April 23, 2026, at the Farmers Market at Emerald Glen Park. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Don Biddle Scholarship Fund.  Started a social media-driven mental health awareness initiative called “One Good Thing”. The Annual Report will be presented by Chair Neel Parekh and Vice Chair Kaitlin Weiss at the April 20, 2026, Parks and Community Services Commission Meeting and at the May 19, 2026, City Council meeting.
