REGULAR MEETING
February 11, 2026
REGULAR MEETING: 7:00 PM
A Regular Meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee was held on Wednesday, February
11, 2026, at the Dublin Senior Center, 7600 Amador Valley Blvd, Dublin, CA 94568. The
meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairperson Neel KarurParekh.
1) CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

2) PRESENTATIONS
2.1) Presentation of Youth Mental Health and Mindful Technology
The Committee received a presentation from Shane Pope, Founder of Reflect Technology,
focused on youth mental health, emotional awareness, and the use of mindful and
intentional technology to support wellness and connection to professional resources.

3) PUBLIC COMMENT
Susan Gardner, Teen Librarian, provided public comment regarding upcoming Library
events, including Teen Movie Night, a book sale, an art workshop, and the “How to Save a
Life” event.
4) CONSENT CALENDAR
4.1) Approved the January 14, 2026, Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting
Minutes.
On a motion by Vice Chairperson Kaitlin Weiss, seconded by Committee Member Alex
McComb, and by a unanimous vote, the Committee adopted the Consent Calendar.

6) NEW BUSINESS
6.1) Ad Hoc Committees Updates and Discussion
The Committee received updates on the activities of various ad hoc committees, including
KidVenture Night and the Benefit Concert.
6.2) “One Good Thing” Youth Mental Health Awareness Program
The Committee received a report summarizing outcomes from a discussion on youth
mental health awareness and an overview of the proposed “One Good Thing” initiative. The
Committee discussed the program concept and provided feedback.
7) STAFF AND COMMITTEE MEMBER REPORTS
Staff and Committee Members gave information only reports.
