Attachment 1 YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 14, 2026 Chairperson Neel Karur Parekh provided an update to the committee regarding an invitation to complete BLS certification through the Emerald High School Basic Life Support Program. 4) CONSENT CALENDAR 4.1) Approved December 10, 2026, Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting Minutes. On a motion by Vice Chairperson Kaitlin Weiss, seconded by Committee Member Yma Santos, and by a unanimous vote, the Committee adopted the Consent Calendar. RESULT: APPROVED [UNANIMOUS] MOVED BY: Kaitlin Weiss, Vice Chairperson SECOND: Yma Santos, Committee Member AYES: KarurParekh, Weiss, McComb, Hayer, Vyawahare, Bhutani, Colley, Kothari, Donepudi, Bollapragada, Sathish, Tawadia, Santos ABSENT: None 5) UNFINISHED BUSINESS – None. 6) NEW BUSINESS 6.1) Recruitment Process for the 2026 - 27 Youth Advisory Committee The Committee received a report outlining the recruitment process for the 2026-2027 Youth Advisory Committee. 6.2) Tri-Valley Teen Job and Career Fair The Committee discussed participation in the 2026 Tri-Valley Teen Job and Career Fair. 6.3) Youth Mental Health and Wellness Spring Initiative The Committee discussed specific youth-led mental health and wellness initiatives. On a motion by Vice Chairperson Kaitlin Weiss, seconded by Committee Member Mehek Kothari, and by a unanimous vote, the Committee identified the “One Good Thing” youth mental health initiative to occur in April.
