REGULAR MEETING: 7:00 PM
A Regular Meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee was held on Wednesday, October 8,
2025, at the Dublin Senior Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:01 PM by
Chairperson Neel KarurParekh.
1) CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

3) PUBLIC COMMENT
Susan Gardner, Teen Librarian, provided public comment on Teen Movie Night, October
calendar events, Anti-Censorship Challenge, and Diwali festival event.

4) CONSENT CALENDAR
4.1) Approved the September 10, 2025, Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting
Minutes.
On a motion by Vice Chairperson Weiss, seconded by Committee Member Santos, and by
a unanimous vote, the Committee adopted the Consent Calendar.

5) UNFINISHED BUSINESS
5.1) 2025 Mental Health Forum Ad Hoc Committee Update and Discussion
The Committee received an update on activities conducted by the 2025 Mental Health
Forum Ad Hoc Committee.
6) NEW BUSINESS
6.1) 2025-26 Youth Mini-Grant Presentations and Funding Recommendations
Youth Mini-Grant applicants made presentations to the Committee.
Chairperson KarurParekh recused himself due to being a member of the Emerald High
Basic Life Support Program.
Committee Member Kothari recused herself due to being a member of Sensory Wall.
Committee Member Bollapragada recused herself due to being a member of MANSE
Minds.
Committee Member Santos recused herself due to being a member of the Dublin High
Diversity Ambassador Program.
Committee members KarurParekh, Kothari, Bollapragada, and Santos left the room.

The Committee rated applicant presentations and recommended the following funding
awards:
On a motion by Vice Chairperson Weiss, seconded by Committee Member Vyawahare, and
by a unanimous vote, the Committee approved the Mini-Grant funding recommendations
totaling $ 9700.
