REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 11, 2025
REGULAR MEETING: 4:00 PM
A Regular Meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee was held on Wednesday, June 11,
2025, at the Dublin Senior Center. The meeting was called to order at 4:00 PM by
Recreation Coordinator, Shalini Reddy.
1) CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANC

2) PRESENTATIONS
2.1) 2025-26 Youth Advisory Committee and Staff Introductions
City of Dubin Staff introduced themselves to the Committee.

2.2) Rosenberg’s Rules of Order and Brown Act Training
The Committee received a presentation on Rosenberg’s Rules of Order and the Brown Act.
Recreation Supervisor, Ivan San Pedro, called for a break in the meeting at 4:45 PM.
Recreation Coordinator, Shalini Reddy, called the meeting back to order at 4:57 PM.
2.3) 2025-26 Youth Advisory Committee Team Building Activities
The Committee participated in a variety of team building activities.
3) PUBLIC COMMENT – None.
4) CONSENT CALENDAR
4.1) Approved the May 14, 2025, Youth Advisory Committee Regular Meeting Minutes.
On a motion by Committee Member KarurParekh, seconded by Alternate Committee
Member Balakavi, and by a unanimous vote, the Committee adopted the Consent
Calendar.

5) UNFINISHED BUSINESS – None.
6) NEW BUSINESS
6.1) Election of 2025-26 Youth Advisory Committee Chairperson and Vice
Chairperson
The Committee received an overview of the responsibilities of the Youth Advisory
Committee Chairperson and Vice Chairperson.

On a motion by Committee Member Weiss, seconded by Committee Member Hayer, and
by a unanimous vote, the Committee appointed Neel KarurParekh as Chairperson and
Kaitlin Weiss as Vice Chairperson.
RESULT: APPOINTED [UNANIMOUS]

Chairperson KarurParekh ran the remainder of the meeting.
6.2) 2025-26 Youth Advisory Committee Work Plan
The Youth Advisory Committee received a presentation on the 2025-26 Youth Advisory
Committee Work plan and provided feedback.
7) STAFF AND COMMITTEE REPORTS
The Committee and Staff provided brief information only reports.
8) ADJOURNMENT
Chairperson KarurParekh adjourned the meeting at 6:12 PM.
