6. ORAL COMMUNICATION - At this time, members of the audience are permitted to address
the Planning Commission on any item which is not on the Planning Commission agenda.
Comments should not exceed 5 minutes. If any person feels that this is
insufficient time to address his or her concern, that person should arrange with
the Planning Director to have his or her particular concern placed on the agenda
for a future meeting.

8. PUBLIC HEARINGS
8.1
PA 87-013.1 and .2 Automation Electronics Corp.jHexcel Corp. Conditional
Use Permit and Site Development Review requests for a permanent Special
Easement - Master Office Identification Sign identifying the main
entrance for Automation Electronics Corp. (11501 Dublin Boulevard) and
Hexcel Corp. (11555 Dublin Boulevard). The proposed sign would be
located on the property ad;oining the east side property identified by
the sign (11711 Dublin Boulevard - Hexcel Corp. site).
8.2
PA 87-014 Howard Johnson Hotel 1) Conditional Use Permit request for a
second Freestanding Single-faced Sign on a parcel, 2) a Variance request
for a Freestanding Sign which is not located within the middle one third
of the lot, 3) a Variance to allow a sign to exceed the maximum
permitted sign area based on setback, and 4) a Variance to allow the
sign to exceed maximum permitted height based upon setback - 6680
Regional Street.

PA 87-009.1 and .2 Circuit City Stores Site Development Review request
for the proposed refurbishing of a the 51,600+ square foot Handyman
Store to accommodate the proposed occupancy by a Circuit City Store
(Consumer Electronics) and a concurrent Conditional Use Permit request
for a Freestanding Sign with a proposed height in excess of 20 feet (23
feet, 4 inches requested) - 7450 Amador Valley Boulevard.

PA 86-046 Fire Safe Roofing Ordinance Amendment - A proposed Ordinance
Amendment providing for: 1) the establishment of a building permit
process for re-roofing of more than 25%; 2) a requirement that re-
roofing in the "flatland areas" be "in-kind" or of a more fire retardant
nature; 3) a requirement that in areas designated as "High Fire Hazard
Areas", roofing materials of Level B or better shall be utilized for new
developments; 4) a requirement that re-roofing in areas designated as
"High Fire Hazard Areas" be of Class C or better materials; and 5) a
requirement that smoke detectors and spark arrestors be installed in all
new houses.
