SPECIAL MEETIN6 - DECEMBER 5. 2006
A special meeting of the Dublin City Council was held on Tuesday, 5, 2006, in the
Council Chambers of the Dublin Civic Center. The meeting was called to order at 5:30
p.m., by Mayor Lockhart.

Certification of November 7, 2006 Election Results
5:33 p.m. 8.1 (630-30)
City Clerk Fawn Holman presented the Staff Report and advised that the City Council
would certify the election results for the Offices of Mayor and two Councilmembers,
which were received from the Alameda County Registrar of Voters. Dublin's voter
turnout was 62.2%. Of 16,451 registered voters, a total of 10,238 votes were cast.
Mayor Lockhart, who ran uncontested, garnered 7,713 votes, was elected to a full term
of two (2) years. The top two Councilmember voter-getters were Tim Sbranti, 5,670
votes, and Kate Ann Scholz, 2,789 votes, were elected to serve full terms of four (4) years
each.
On motion of Vm. Oravetz, seconded by Cm. Hildenbrand and by unanimous vote (Cm.
Zika absent), the City Council adopted

RECmNG THE FACTS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD ON NOVEMBER 7, 2006, DECLARING THE RESULTS THEREOF,

Presentation of Plaque to Outgoing Councilmember Claudia McCormick
5:33 p.m. 8.2 (610-50)
Mayor Lockhart presented outgoing Councilmember Claudia McCormick with a plaque
in recognition of her dedicated service to the City of Dublin as a member of the City
Council from 1998-2006, and in appreciation of her many contributions to the
community of Dublin.
Cm. McCormick extended her gratitude to the people of Dublin, and to those who have
supported her during the past eight years. Being a City Councilmember had been a very
gratifying experience for her. She thanked Dublin Staff, especially City Manager
Richard Ambrose, for their professionalism, knowledge and vision for the future.
The entire Council wished outgoing Councilmember McCormick well, and agreed that
she had served the community well during her tenure, especially in her work to save
heritage trees and bring public art to Dublin.
