RESOLUTION NO. 92 – 25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS FROM THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE
CONTROL’S OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY (ABC-OTS) GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), through the Office of
Traffic Safety (OTS), administers the ABC-OTS Grant Program to support local law enforcement agencies
in reducing alcohol-related harm and underage drinking; and
WHEREAS, enforcing alcohol laws and educating businesses can reduce underage alcohol
access; and
WHEREAS, On September 25, 2025, Dublin Police Services was awarded grant funds in the
amount of twenty-nine thousand dollars ($29,000) under this program; and
WHEREAS, the City was advised after the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget of the award
of $29,000 to be made under the ABC-OTS Grant; and
WHEREAS, these funds will be used to support enforcement, education, and prevention efforts
related to alcohol-related crimes, including operations such as Minor Decoy, Shoulder Tap, IMPACT
inspections, and Holiday Enforcement Programs; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Dublin has agreed that the acceptance of these funds
will enhance the City’s efforts to promote public safety and reduce alcohol-related incidents within the
community; and
WHEREAS, no matching funds are required, and all grant expenditures will be reimbursed in
accordance with the grant terms and conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin confirms the
Grant Agreement with the State of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control attached hereto
as Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council accepts the grant award of $29,000 from the
California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control’s ABC-OTS Grant Program.
