HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-19-2024 Minutes March 19, 2024, City Disaster Council Minutes 1 Special Meeting of the CITY DISASTER COUNCIL Tuesday, March 19, 2024 Location: Bray Community Room 100 Civic Plaza Dublin, CA 94568 SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES March 19, 2024 7:00 p.m. ATTENDEES PRESENT: Melissa Hernandez, Chair Linda Smith, Director of Emergency Services Colleen Tribby, Assistant Director of Emergency Services Jordan Foss, Emergency Operations Center Liaison Jay Baksa, Finance Section Chief Jeff Baker, Planning & Intelligence Section Chief Jackie Dwyer, Logistics Chief Bonnie Terra, Operations Section Chief Nate Schmidt, Operations Section Chief ATTENDEES ABSENT: Lincoln Casimer, ACFD Jill Dutchover, ACFD Cierra Fabrigas, Executive Assistant 1. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 9:48 p.m. by Mayor Hernandez. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Members of the City Disaster Council recited the pledge of allegiance. 3. PUBLIC COMMENT There were no public comments. 4. CONSENT CALENDAR 4.1 Approval of the May 24, 2022 Special Disaster Council Meeting Minutes March 19, 2024, City Disaster Council Minutes 2 Motion by Director of Emergency Services Smith, seconded by Asst. Director of Emergency Services Tribby. Ayes: Hernandez, Smith, Tribby, Baker, Dwyer, Terra, Schmidt, Baksa 5. ACTION ITEMS 5.1 Approval of Dublin CERT Academy EOC Liaison Foss provided a brief explanation of the training and the need for the Disaster Council to pre-authorize the trainings. Additional information was provided in the attached Staff Report regarding the CERT Academy. Motion by Planning & Intelligence Section Chief Baker, seconded by Operations Section Chief Terra. Ayes: Hernandez, Smith, Tribby, Baker, Dwyer, Terra, Schmidt, Baksa The City Disaster Council approved the CERT Academy, as presented, scheduled for March 21st, 23rd, and 30th. 6. ADJOURNMENT Mayor Hernandez adjourned the meeting at 9:49 p.m.
