The original PastPerfect had been utilized since Heritage Park and Museums began using a collection management system. The previous version had become outdated, accessible only on a single computer using an obsolete operating system, and was no longer supported by PastPerfect staff or the City’s IT department. In early 2022, City Staff began researching opportunities to upgrade the collection management software.Upon review of available platforms, PastPerfect was identified as the preferred program, allowing Staff to streamline the import process from existing versions to create a comprehensive collection database.Past Perfect Web EditionPastPerfect Web Edition has many benefits: Cloud-based, software free log-in has expanded the City’s database management ability. 8 Maintenance support, automatic backups, and updates. Ability to provide public access to records, data, and images. Ability to archive at several locations where Staff previously would have to archive at a single location in the office at Heritage Park Built-in import tool for existing PastPerfect data, images, and multimedia, ensuring existing work is imported accurately. Easy management, searchability, and record keeping of over 6,000 archived items currently maintained by the City.
