The City Council provided direction on the following recommendations: Recommendation BC-7, the City Council directed Staff to not limit the term limit for Commissions and Committees to four years. Recommendation IP-5, the City Council shared ideas for promoting local restaurants and small businesses that are owned and operated by under-represented groups and referred this item to the Economic Development Committee. Recommendation CO-1, the City Council supported having a Community Liaison within the City Manager’s Office and shared suggestions for reaching out to community leaders and local organizations. Recommendation O-5, the City Council suggested that Staff check in a year from now with the Community Task Force members to review progress on the implementation plan and provide any feedback. The meeting was called to order at 9:02 a.m., by Mayor Hernandez. 1. Discussion of Operating and Capital Budgets The City Council discussed the City’s Fiscal Years 2022-23 and 2023-24 preliminary budget and reviewed and prioritized projects in the Five-Year Capital Improvement Program for 2022-2027. 5. Discuss Strategic Plan Strategies and Objectives for 2022-2024 The City Council discussed and updated the City’s Strategic Plan Strategies and Objectives for 2022-2024. 6.
