FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Approximate cost is $1,350. Sufficient funds have
been included in the budget for this conference.
DESCRIPTION:
This year, the American Public Works Congress and Equipment Show is being held
in St. Louis, Missouri, on September 9 through 12.
The purpose of this conference is to update Public Works personnel regarding
State of the Art technical information, as well as managerial skills. It will
provide the Public Works Director an opportunity to interact with others in
the profession throughout the country and to gain new skills and information
that will be helpful to the City of Dublin. The approximate cost of
attendance at this conference is $1,350. Mr. Thompson will leave for the
conference on September 8th and return on September 13th.
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the Public Works Director to
attend this conference.
