FINANCIAL STATEMENT : Cost of pool covers ~s estimated at $10.000.
Funds are not available in the Swim Center
Renovation Project; an additional appropriation
from the Unallocated Reserves will be needed
DESCRIPTION : In the 1988-93 Capital Improvement Program
funds were budgeted for the renovation of the Dublin Swim Center.
Included in the renovation was the replacement of the existing pool
covers. When developing the plans and specifications for the Swim
Center renovation, it was determined that it would be more cost
effective to bid the replacement of the pool covers seperate from the
overall renovation. Therefore Staff is requesting authorization from
the City Council to advertise for bids for replacement of the pool
covers.
Bid Specifications have been prepared by Staff and are attached for
review by the City Council. As the Swim Center Renovation project has
exceeded the available budget, it will be necessary to transfer funds
from the Unallocated Reserves at the time that the City Council awards
the bid for replacement of the pool covers.
