RECOMMENDATION Authorize City Clerk's attendance at the IIMC
Annual Conference
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Approximate cost - $1, 150. Sufficient funds
are included in the budget for this
conference.
DESCRIPTION: The 44th Annual International Conference of the
International Institute of Municipal Clerks is being held in Little
Rock, Arkansas on May 20-24, 1990.
The purpose of this conference is to build, develop and enhance the
skills of the City Clerk. Professional workshops will be offered on
many areas affecting the City Clerk, including Records Management,
Shortcuts in Minutes, Election Administration and Legislative Update,
Computer Applications in the Clerk's Office, Preservation of Permanent
Records, and Effective Management for the 1990's.
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Clerk's
attendance at this conference.
